Also: casein-alpha-s1(24-47). This peptide, FVAPFPEVFGKEKVNELSKDIGSE, is a bioactive fragment of alpha-s1-casein obtained by hydrolysis of bovine sodium caseinate with a partially purified proteinase of Lactobacillus helveticus (Minervini et al, 2003). It has been shown to act as an inhibitor of angiotensin-1 converting enzyme (CD143). See also: casokinins for peptides with similar activities. See also cryptides for bioactive fragments of parent proteins.
EKVNELSK is a subfragment of the casein alpha-s1-casein(24-47) that corresponds to alpha-s1-casein(35-42)
