YLDV 7L protein

[Yaba-like disease virus 7L protein] This protein of 56 kDa is encoded in the genome of Yaba-like disease virus. The protein shares homology with human CC-Chemokine receptor CCR8. Najarro et al (2003) have reported that YLDV 7L protein is exposed on the cell surface of infected cells and has the ability to bind human CCL1 (a CCR8 ligand), couple to heterotrimeric G-proteins, and to activate the extracellular signal-regulated kinases.

YLDV 7L protein also binds several other chemokines that are known to act as ligands for CCR8: vCCL1, vCCL2 (encoded by HHV8). YLDV 7L protein also binds to human ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
