Wnt-6

[Wnt family member 6; wingless-type MMTV integration site family member 6] Wnt-6 is a member of the Wnt family of structurally related genes that encode secreted extracellular signaling factors. Murine Wnt-6 has been identified by Gavin et al (1990). Wnt-6 is expressed in brain and at high levels in testis. Parr et al (1993) and Vainio et al (1997) have reported expression in the mammary gland of adult mice.

Rankin et al (1999) and Kirikoshi et al (2001) have identified human Wnt-6, which encoded a protein of 365 amino acids that also contains an RGD motif. It shares 47.4 % sequence identity with Wnt-1 ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
