[T suppressor cell growth factor] This biochemically uncharacterized factor of approximately 8 kDa is produced by CD4(+) T-cells. The factor synergizes with IL2 in supporting proliferation of CD8(+) suppressor T-cells and induces the expression of IL2 receptors (Fox et al, 1986). The factor is not identical with IL4 or IL2 (Fox et al, 1987).
