[Tc17 cell]
These cells, also: T cytotoxic-17 cells, constitute a subpopulation of CD8(+) T-cells. They are characterized by the secretion of IL17. Human Tc17 cells are detected in a minor population of CD8(+) T-cells and are found predominantly in CD27(-/+) CD28(+) CD45RA(-) memory subsets. Analysis of the in vitro induction of Tc17 cells shows that these cells are induced from the CD27(+) CD28(+) CD45RA(+) naive subset and that they express the CD27(-) CD28(+) CD45RA(-) phenotype.
