[tumor associated glycoprotein E4] Tage-4 is a mouse orphan receptor expressed by intestinal epithelia as well as by follicle associated epithelium and follicular dendritic cells inside Peyer's patches of the gut associated lymphoid tissue (Ravens et al, 2003). The cloned murine gene shows the same organization and syntenic chromosomal localization as the human gene. Tage-4 binds to vitronectin and has been described as the functional ortholog of CD155 in mouse (Ravens et al, 2003).
