T-suppressor lymphokine

This protein of 47 kDa has been purified from the supernatant of a T-cell hybridoma established from CD3(+) CD8(+) CD57(+) lymphocytes of a healthy bone marrow transplant patient. The protein is detected also in the supernatant of normal CD8(+) CD57(+) lymphocytes. The protein suppresses the phytohaemagglutinin and alloantigen responses of peripheral blood lymphocytes. The partial sequence of this protein does not match any other known proteins.
