Türk cells

[Türk cell]

These cells, called also Türk's irritation leukocytes, have been observed in the peripheral blood of patients with severe anemias and chronic infections. The cells are atypical lymphocytes (mononuclear cells) with morphological characteristics resembling those of plasma cells (Spriggs and Jerrome, 1967).
