[retina bipolar neurons] These cells, characterized by a central body from which two processes emerge, are a type of neurons found in the retina that connect to photoreceptor cells.
A distinction can be made with respect to their connections with photoreceptor cells: Rod bipolar cells synapse with rod cells.
