[RNA polymerase II-associated protein 3] The gene encoding this protein has been cloned by Jeronimo et al (2007). RPAP3 is a protein associated with RNA polymerase II. Together with other proteins it is part of a huge multiprotein complex, interacting with various components of the transcription machinery and with proteins able to assemble into molecular chaperone complexes.
Itsuki et al (2008) have reported that RPAP3 interacts with Monad, a protein that potentiates apoptosis.
