PSPS [secretory pancreatic stone protein] This protein has been isolated as the major protein component of pancreatic stones in patients with calcifying chronic pancreatitis (De Caro et al, 1979; Multigner et al, 1983). It is an isoform (133 amino acids) of Lithostathine and has been called Lithostathine C (Sarles et al, 1990) and is the product of the REG gene.
