OX49

OX49 is a mouse monoclonal antibodiy prepared against rat T-cell blasts and recognises an antigen found on most hemopoietic cells but is expressed at greatly increased levels after lymphocyte activation (Paterson et al, 1987). The epitope recognized by the OX49 antibody has been mapped to a region on both the standard CD44 and the splice variant isoforms of CD44 (Arch et al, 1992).
