OTT1
A myelomonocytic cell line obtained from primary cultures of mouse bone marrow cells infected with a retroviral vector carrying the murine IL1-alpha gene. Survival and proliferation of OTT1 cells depends on IL3, GM-CSF or, IL5. OTT1 cells form colonies in a colony formation assay, showing predominantly maturation of monocytes when plated in methylcellulose (see also: colony formation assay). The cells express receptors for IL3, GM-CSF, IL5, IL2, IL10, SCF, G-CSF
