[neurotrophin receptor homolog-1] NRH-1 is a neurotrophin receptor homolog that exists in fish, amphibians, and birds but is absent in mammals. It is related to p75NTR, a receptor for neurotrophins and NGF (Kanning et al, 2003). For a related factor see also: NRH-2.
Xenopus laevis has two NRH-1 genes, termed fullback and fullback-like, that are very similar in sequence to p75NTR.
