NK inhibitory factor

This biochemically uncharacterized factor of approximately 10 kDa is found in the aqueous humor that fills the anterior chamber of the eye (Apte et al, 1996). The factor inhibits NK-cell mediated cytotoxicity in vitro, but does not affect lysis mediated by cytotoxic T-lymphocytes. The inhibitory factor is distinct from TGF-beta.
