abbr. MDGF (a term with multiple meanings). This factor of 16 kDa is produced by human monocytes. It is a monomeric form of PDGF (Pencev and Grotendorst, 1988). MDGF may have a different primary structure since it exhibits different sensitivities to either formic acid or CNBr cleavage compared to PDGF-A or PDGF-B chains.
