[myeloid-associated immunoglobulin-like receptor IV] This receptor is a member of a larger family of activating and inhibitory receptors (Shibuya et al, 2009) (see also: MAIR-I, MAIR-II, MAIR-III, MAIR-V, MAIR-VI, MAIR-VII, MAIR-VIII, MAIR-IX). The intracellular region is short and has no signaling motif (Shibuya et al, 2009). The MAIR family is a murine counterpart of the human CMRF35 family and thus is equivalent to the CD300 family.
MAIR-IV is expressed preferentially on a subset of neutrophils
