[MACPF domains]
[membrane attack complex/perforin domain] The MACPF domain is a conserved domain named after its occurrence in proteins that form the membrane attack complex of complement (C5, C6, C7, C8 and C9) and in perforin and are known to participate in lytic pore formation. The comain constitutes the central 40 kDa part in each of these protein, all of which contain a variable number of other N-terminal and C-terminal modules.
