Liver-derived immunoinhibitory factor

This biochemically uncharacterized factor of 28 kDa is isolated from perfused murine livers and murine hepatocytes (Tzung et al, 1991). The monomeric factor inhibits in vitro the proliferation of spleen cells induced by treatment with IL2 and also the growth of rat hepatoma cells (H35 cells) and murine B16 melanoma cells.
