[LPS-inducible chemokine] The existence of this factor has been surmised in studies designed to elucidate the role of different chemokines in the influx of murine eosinophils to the pleural cavity after stimulation with bacterial lipopolysaccharides. The authors suggest that this factor is an as yet unidentified ligand of CCR3, the activity of which cannot be blocked by a neutralizing protein, vCKBP, and neutralizing antibodies. This factor is not identical with eotaxin, RANTES, MCP-3, MCP-2, MCP-4, eotaxin-2, eotaxin-3, MIP-5, MEC, and MCP-1
