abbr. KAF (a term with multiple meanings). The known 20 aminoterminal amino acids of KAF are completely identical with amphiregulin and the factor is called also, therefore, Keratinocyte-derived amphiregulin. Antibodies directed against KAF also recognise amphiregulin.
