KPB-M15 is a Philadelphia (Ph1) chromosome-positive cell line established from the peripheral blood of a patient with chronic myelogenous leukemia in blastic crisis. KPB-M15 cells are of an undifferentiated blast nature (Kamamoto et al, 1986). The cells constitutively secrete a considerable quantity of SCGF into the conditioned medium (Hiraoka et al, 1987). KPB-M15 cells also constitutively secrete significant amounts of M-CSF and IL6 (Hiraoka et al, 1998) but do not express IL1-alpha, IL1-beta, IL3, IL4, G-CSF, GM-CSF, or express mRNA for IL11, LIF,
