K-FGF

[Kaposi fibroblast growth factor] This factor of 22 kDa is found in the conditioned medium of angiogenic tumors of mixed cellularity known as Kaposi sarcoma. It is known also as KS-FGF (Kaposi sarcoma FGF), KS protein, KS3, and Kaposi sarcoma oncogene. The recommended name for this factor is FGF4 (see also: FGF, fibroblast growth factors).
