[interleukin-Y] This is the provisional designation for a heterodimeric interleukin consisting of the p28 alpha subunit of IL24 (referred to as IL30) and the IL12 p40 subunit (hence designation such as p28/p40 or IL27p28/IL12-p40 heterodimer). IL-Y has been obtained as an artificial single-chain molecules and it is not known whether this heterodimer occurs naturally (Flores et al, 2015).
