Hylaseptin P1 is a cationic peptide of 14 amino acids (GILDAIKAIAKAAGamidate) isolated from the skin secretion of the hylid frog Hyla punctata (Polka-dot tree frog) (Spotted tree frog). The peptide has been shown to be antimicrobial against Candida albicans, Staphylococcus aureus, Escherichia coli, and Pseudomonas aeruginosa and appears to be without hemolytic activity against leukocytes and erythrocytes (Prates et al, 2004)
