Huxley cells
[Huxley's cells, Huxley cell]
These cells have been described originally under their German name "Flügelzellen" [winged cells], a term referring to their characteristic foot processes (Hoepke, 1927). These cells constitute a layer of epithelial cells in the internal root sheath of hair follicles (see: hair follicle sheath cells).
