Herbimycin A

A benzochinoid ansamycin antibiotic isolated from Streptomyces sp. MH237-CF8. This compound specifically inhibits the phosphorylation of tyrosine residues catalyzed by various protein kinases (see also: PTK; protein tyrosine kinase).
