[Cpa3-Cre; Mcl-1fl/fl mice] These mice have been generated by crossing transgenic mice expressing Cre recombinase under the control of a promoter fragment from the carboxypeptidase A3 (CPA3), which is expressed at very high levels only in the mast cell lineage, with mice in which the gene coding the anti-apoptotic factor MCL1 [myeloid cell leukemia sequence 1] (Lilla et al, 2011).
