HA4

This is the designation for a glycoprotein of approximately 110 kDa located in the bile canalicular domain of the plasma membrane of hepatocytes. The protein is identical with another protein, termed pp120 (also: pp120/HA4) (Margolis et al, 1988) and has been identified independently also as gp110 and CBATP [canalicular bile acid transport protein]. The protein is considered to be the rat counterpart of human CEACAM1 [CEA-related cell adhesion molecule 1] (see also: C-CAM), and Najjar et al (1993) have reported the existence of splice variants that are also observed with the human ... ... ... ... ...
