This peptide with the sequence YAAWPASGAWTGTAPCSAGT has been identified by phage display methods aimed at finding peptide that preferentially binds to non-small cell lung cancer cell lines (McGuire et al, 2014). The peptide acts as a cell-targeting peptide and has been shown also to home in to xenografted tumors in vivo and bind to patient tumor samples.
