abbr. GSF (a term with multiple meanings). This biochemically uncharacterized factor is found in the conditioned medium of human glial tumor cells. It suppresses the mitogen responsiveness of normal human peripheral blood lymphocytes. GSF also inhibits the production of IL2 by mitogen-activated human T-cells.
