GRAP

(approved gene symbol) [GRB2-related adaptor protein] The cDNA for this protein (217 amino acids) has been identified by Feng et al (1996) from a human cDNA library derived from early embryos and tonsils. GRAP is expressed primarily in thymus and spleen.

GRAP shows sequence similarity with GRB2, Caenorhabditis elegans Sem-5, and Drosophila melanogaster DARK. The protein contains a central SH2 domain flanked by two SH3 domains.

In vitro, the SH2 domain of GRAP interacts with the activated receptor for SCF, kit ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
