GA733-2 antigen

[gastrointestinal tumor-associated antigen 2] The cDNA for this human protein has been cloned by Szala et al (1990) and Linnenbach et al (1993). It encodes a glycosylated protein expressed on the cell surface of colorectal carcinoma cells and is detected by a monoclonal antibody of the same name. The antigen is expressed in cell lines derived from colorectal and pancreatic carcinomas and the gene is expressed also in lung and colon adenocarcinoma lines and in normal colon. Tomita et al (2000) have shown that the GA733-2 antigen is identical with the MK-1 antigen, which is detected by the FU-MK-1 monoclonal antibody raised against a human ... ... ... ... ...
