Flock house virus coat protein(35-49)
abbr. FHV coat protein(35-49). This peptide with the sequence RRRRNRTRRNRRRVR is contained in the coat protein of flock house virus, a bipartite RNA virus of insects belonging to the Nodaviridae family. The peptide is a cell-penetrating peptide (Futaki et al, 2001, 2001).
Nakase et al (2009) have reported that the peptide is internalized most efficiently into Chinese hamster ovary cells, HeLa cells, and Jurkat cells.
