[fibronectin FN-III repeat 14] This peptide, TEATITGLEPGTEYTIYVIAL, termed peptide III14-2 in the original publication, is derived from the heparin-binding domain 2 of fibronectin and corresponds to fibronectin(1835-1855) (FN(1835-1855)). The peptide has been shown to decrease the adhesion of A375SM melanoma cells to fibronectin substrate. The activity of this peptide depends on its C-terminal amino acid sequence YTIYVIAL (Fukai et al, 1997). The peptide strongly inhibits cell adhesion to fibronectin mediated by integrin-beta-1
