[fibrinogen(401-413); fibrinogen-gamma(401-413)] This peptide, KKTSMKIIPFTRL, derived from fibrinogen (fibrinogen-gamma subunit), has been identified by Bishop et al (2015) in the plasma of the American alligator, Alligator mississippiensis. It shows strong antimicrobial activity against Escherichia coli. This peptide shows a decrease in potency relative to FGG(398-413) against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Bacillus cereus, and Staphylococcus aureus.
