Eptotermin alfa

international nonproprietary name for recombinant BMP7 (human osteogenic protein-1). The protein is marketed under the drug name: Osigraft and is used for the initiation of bone formation through the induction of cellular differentiation in mesenchymal cells, which leads to the formation of chondroblasts and osteoblasts. The compound is used for the treatment of nonunion of tibia (Delloye et al, 2004)
