abbr. EVM150 (mousepox virus E150 protein) this viral protein encoded in the genome of mousepox virus contains a BTB domain and a Kelch domain. It may play a role in immune evasion owing to its ability to interfere with ubiquitination and degradation of host proteins (Wilson BA et al, 2008).
Wang Q et al (2014) have reported that Ectromelia virus E150 protein modulates antiviral cellular responses by inhibiting the NF-kappa-B pathway activated in response to TNF-alpha and IL1-beta. without blocking the degradation of I-kappa-B-alpha. The effect of the viral protein is due to the BTB domain and is independent of the Kelch domain
