[Enabled/VASP homology 1 domain] This domain of approximately 115 amino acids is known also as WH1 domain [WASP homology domain 1]. The domain is named after the proteins in which it has been observed first as a region of homology (Renfranz and Beckerle, 2002): Drosophila melanogaster protein enabled, human vasodilator-stimulated protein VASP, a protein the phosphorylation of which in platelets correlates with platelet inhibition, and Wiskott-Aldrich syndrome protein (WASP).
