Duffy Antigen Receptor for Chemokines

abbr. DARC. In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD234. DARC acts as a non-classical chemokine receptor that does not signal but rather acts as a scavenger protein (see also: chemokine interceptors).
