[Dha blood group antigen] This low frequency blood group antigen is located on glycophorin C (Jorgensen et al, 1982). It is due to a base change (C to T) at nucleotide 40, leading to a substitution of leucine by phenylalanine at amino acid residue 14 (King et al, 1992).
In the nomenclature of CD antigens this protein has been given the designation CD236R. See also: blood group antigens.
