[CED3 protease suppressors] A number of genes identified in Caenorhabditis elegans. The encoded proteins appear to act downstream of, or in parallel to, the CED3 death protease to cause cell death.
Mutations in the CPS-1 and CPS-2 genes weakly suppress general cell death. Mutations in CPS-3, CPS-4, CPS-5, and CPS-6 act like CED8 mutations by causing the delay of cell-killing.
