[chemotactic protein 10] This factor of 10.3 kDa (76 amino acids) is isolated from the conditioned medium of activated murine spleen cells (Lackmann et al, 1992, 1993). CP-10 shows 55 % sequence homology with S100 with pronounced amino acid sequence similarities within the putative N- and C-terminal calcium ion binding sites. The protein is considered to be the murine homolog of S100 calcium binding protein A8 (abbr. S100A8; see: Calgranulins) (Yen et al, 1997)
