CD300H is a member of the CD300 family encoding an immunoglobulin-like receptor on unknown function. In some databanks CD300C-like molecule is used as a synonym. CD300H has a short cytoplasmic tail and associates with the signaling adaptor proteins, DAP12 and DAP10. A splice variant lacking a transmembrane and behaving like a secreted protein has been identified.
CD300H is expressed on CD16(+) monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells (not plasmacytoid dendritic cells. Ligation of CD300H on CD16(+) monocytes and myeloid dendritic cells with anti-CD300H monoclonal antibody induces the production of inflammatory cytokines
