This bioactive peptide (GANEVEEER; Gly-Ala-Asn-Glu-Val-Glu-Glu-Glu-Arg) has been identified by Liu XD et al (2013) on the bursa of Fabricius, the central humoral immune organ unique to birds which plays important roles in B-lymphocyte differentiation.
