[angiogenesis due to FGF2] Based on the observation that individual mouse strains have dramatically different responses to neovascularization induced by growth factors, Rogers et al (2004) have identified four genetic quantitative trait loci (QTLs) (AngFq1, AngFq2, AngFq3, AngFq4) that influence the extent of angiogenesis (neovascularization) induced by bFGF in mice.
