[AIM2 inflammasomes]
The AIM2 inflammasome is one of several molecular assemblies known as inflammasome, which can process the precursor of IL1-beta and/or IL18. It is composed of AIM2, the molecular adapter ASC, and caspase-1 (Fernandes-Alnemri et al, 2009; Rathinam et al, 2010).
