AC6.21

a murine stromal cell line that has been used for the long-term ex vivo maintenance and expansion of transplantable human hematopoietic stem cells (see also: BMC).

The conditioned medium of these cells contain an activity, designated SCEPF (stem cell expansion promoting factor), that appears to be required for its function as feeder cells promoting the long-term growth of human CD34(+) cells.

The conditioned medium of this cell line also contains IL6, which has been shown to be responsible for the ability of the AC6.21 ... ... ... ... ... Subscribe to continue reading! ... ...
