77 kDa invasion stimulating factor

Ikeda et al (2001) have purified this biochemically uncharacterized factor from fibroblasts and the conditioned medium of DF-1 cells derived from skin fibroblasts. The factor significantly stimulates the invasion ability of breast-cancer cells, OCUB-1. The activity of this factor is not abolished in the presence of neutralizing antibodies directed against TGF-alpha and bFGF.
