a continuous myeloid cell line developed from bone marrow cells of transgenic mice expressing the human M-CSF receptor (which is not activated by murine M-CSF) by plating these cells on a variant of the MS-5 stromal cell line that expresses membrane-bound forms of M-CSF (2M-1 cells). 47.10 cells grow indefinitely on MS-5 feeder cell layers. The proliferation of 47.10 cells under these conditioned is blocked by neutralizing antibodies against the M-CSF receptor
